Troocoo Government is supporting a major state government department in the recruitment an experienced AO3 Project Support Officer. This position will join a high-performing project team shaping Queensland’s transport network. Initial agency labour hire contract to December 2026, with potential further extension. 

Nerang, QLD location | Paying $51.13 to $56.73 per hour + super

The Opportunity
The AO3 Project Support Officer will directly support key project delivery including design, tendering, contract administration and project handover. You will provide support to Project Managers and technical specialists and contribute to several active infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
As the AO3 Project Support Officer, you will be required (however not limited) to:
  • Provide proactive administrative support (meeting coordination, agendas/minutes, correspondence, reporting, document control, maintaining registers and spreadsheets).
  • Coordinate project documentation, tracking, version control and follow-ups to ensure timely approvals and compliance.
  • Assist with procurement and contract administration, including preparing documentation, liaising with suppliers, maintaining records and supporting tender activities.
  • Contribute to financial approval workflows and the upkeep of contract management systems.
  • Support operational compliance across WHS, governance, and departmental policies.
About You
We are seeking candidates who can bring:
  • Experience providing administrative or project support in a project-based environment (mandatory).
  • Prior exposure to contract management and supporting tendering processes (mandatory).
  • Background in infrastructure, construction, engineering, or transport environments.
  • Strong MS Office 365 capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, coordination and organisational skills.
