Troocoo Government are currently assisting a valued client in the recruitment of an AO3 Project Support Officer. This is full-time temporary labour hire position, based in Nerang QLD, initially to November 2026.
$49.40 to $54.81 per hour + 12% super.
The Role
The AO3 Project Support Officer will provide high level support services to project managers and team members on the road infrastructure projects. You will provide administrative and project support to enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.

The Role
The AO3 Project Support Officer will provide high level support services to project managers and team members on the road infrastructure projects. You will provide administrative and project support to enhance the timely and effective delivery of project/s, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high level administrative support to various project managers and team members, including coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing minutes, preparing documents and reports, establishing and maintaining spreadsheets and registers and providing timely information, updates and presentations as required.
- Project support for financial approval documentation, contract administration systems and procurement related activities. Including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties and assisting with tender processes.
- Ensure infrastructure project documentation is accurately compiled, tracked and recorded, and follows up to ensure timely delivery and approvals within set timeframes.
- Ensure operational practices and standards of service and performance comply with departmental and regional policies, legislation (incl. WH&S), and governance obligations.
To be considered a competitive applicant for this position, you would ideally bring the following:
- Prior experience supporting within a dynamic project environment is mandatory.
- Previous exposure to a road infrastructure and/or transport setting would be highly desirable.
- High level of competency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A basic knowledge and understanding of procurement, with experience in procurement / finance in an infrastructure environment being desirable.
- Ability to maintain effective communication and relationships between key internal and external stakeholders and contacts.
