Aged Care Lifestyle Officer

Make a meaningful impact every day. We're looking for a passionate Lifestyle Officer to bring joy, connection, and purpose to the lives of our aged care residents through meaningful engagement and creative programs.

About the Role: As a Lifestyle Officer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing residents’ wellbeing by planning and delivering a variety of recreational, cognitive, and social activities that reflect their individual preferences, needs, and capabilities.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan & Deliver Programs: Create inclusive group and one-on-one activities (e.g., art, music, games, exercise, gardening) to support physical, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing.
  • Foster Resident Engagement: Build genuine relationships with residents, encouraging participation and tailoring activities to meet their interests—including those living with dementia.
  • Document & Report: Record participation, feedback, and progress; collaborate with the care team to contribute to individual care plans.
  • Coordinate Events: Organise special occasions, cultural celebrations, community visits, and outings.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Deliver programs that meet health, safety, and aged care standards; complete risk assessments when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with nurses, carers, allied health professionals, volunteers, and families to support holistic resident care.
What You'll Bring:
  • Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent)
  • Experience in aged care or community support preferred
  • 2024/2025 Influenza Vaccination Record.
  • Australian Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available).
