Troocoo Government are currently partnering with a valued local government client to recruit an driven Administration Officer! This is a full-time temporary opportunity, initially through to 29 May 2026, based in Narangba, QLD, offering $38.76 per hour + super.
The Role
As the Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and business support to the Kerbside Collection operation. Working collaboratively with administration team members across the department, you will help deliver a seamless support service while responding to resident enquiries and operational requests.

The Role
As the Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and business support to the Kerbside Collection operation. Working collaboratively with administration team members across the department, you will help deliver a seamless support service while responding to resident enquiries and operational requests.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and business support to the Waste Services Department.
- Managing and responding to resident enquiries, including incoming correspondence via the shared inbox and online resource pool.
- Processing bin collection service requests and applications.
- Preparing written correspondence for residents relating to kerbside collection service enquiries.
- Undertaking investigations and reporting on operational and service delivery issues.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to support the day-to-day operation of the kerbside collection contract.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in an administration or customer-facing support role (government or operational environment highly regarded).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with residents and internal stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality internal and external customer service
