We are seeking an experienced AO5 Project Engagement Officer (Contract) to provide additional support to an organization in Townsville during a period of heightened project activity.
This role will support engagement and communications across a range of critical infrastructure projects that are central to the success of the district program and require intensive stakeholder engagement, proactive communications planning, and the timely delivery of high-quality engagement materials.
About the Role
The Project Engagement Officer will provide essential support to ensure:

• Timely, accurate, and consistent communication with stakeholders
• High-quality and aligned messaging across multiple projects
• Increased capacity within the engagement team, allowing existing resources to focus on strategic priorities

This role will support engagement with a large and geographically dispersed stakeholder group, including road users, local residents, local governments, and businesses.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities
• Assist with the development of communication materials and project updates
• Coordinate stakeholder correspondence and responses
• Ensure consistency and quality of messaging across projects
• Work collaboratively with project teams and internal stakeholders

About You
You will be a proactive and well-organised engagement professional with experience working in complex project environments. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
Experience in infrastructure, transport, or government projects will be highly regarded.
