Traffic / Transport Modeller

Job description

Troocoo are partnering with a major QLD business with large land holding to assist them in the search of a Transport/Traffic Modeller for a 6-month contract with opportunity to extend.
 
Located in the Brisbane outskirts this role supports the major projects team to develop accurate models for the delivery of projects exceeding $1 billion.
  
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Reporting to Project Manager  
  • Undertake planning, research, analysis and design as required, for traffic including but not limited to roads, cycleways, footpaths and runways
  • Provide specialist professional Traffic Modelling advice and support management for internal and external customers as required
  • Critically review reports, data, designs and drawings models as required.
  • Ensure that policies, processes and procedures are followed, and that work meets safety, technical and quality specifications.
  • Act as a role model for the organisation’s values and behaviours at all times and display a high level of professional and ethical conduct
  • Refer matters that may impact upon the business or project , employees and stakeholders to the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
  • Undertake other relevant duties as directed, consistent with skills, competence and training.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in planning, research analysis, design and Modelling.
  • Expertise in a range of network and analytical traffic modelling packages including AIMSUN, SIDRA or VISSIM (Preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
  • A strong sense of urgency for solving complex problems.
  • Must hold a current and valid driver’s licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Applicants with RPEQ will be highly regarded but this is not essential
