Job Description
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, Deliver and Support Enterprise Solutions that deliver desired business outcomes, are innovative and world class;
- Ensure this team can deliver anything the business may need now, or in the foreseeable future;
- Shape a national team into a highly engaged and enabled group with a ‘one team’ culture;
- Ensure cohesive working relationships exist with PMO, BA, Architecture, IT enablement and QA, both individually and for your reports;
- Transition the team to a DevOps operating model, uplifting their technical skills along with their work processes while attaining the necessary team culture;
- Support Team Leads to execute on plans and delivering the Software Engineering capability to the business, mentoring and acting as an escalation point for business or HR issues
- Monitor industry providers to ensure our client is positioned to most effectively leverage their solution to maximise our business outcomes.
- Experience leading software engineering teams;
- Experience transforming software engineering teams to adapt to a DevOps operating model, with demonstrated success delivering desired business outcomes;
- Experience in managing software delivery using Scrum, Kanban and/or DevOps frameworks
- Honed stakeholder management skills and the ability to adapt, manage and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Advanced organisational skills and the ability to manage many people and initiatives in parallel;
- Experience managing teams of people via Team Leaders;
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining a strategic view
- Experience with, and detailed understanding of major development platforms such as .NET or Java, modern application development frameworks, as well as C#;
- Experience with, and detailed understanding of, modern operational paradigms including cloud services and how they could be leveraged in new and existing software;
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the utilities industry
