Senior Payroll Officer

Job description

This dynamic employer in the resources sector are in a phase of growth and change. As the Senior Payroll Officer you will play a key role in the team and support the Manager with stakeholder management, change projects and business improvement. 

Key focus areas include:
  • End to end payroll processing using MicrOpay
  • Award and agreement interpretation
  • Maintaining employee files
  • Act as a subject matter expert for legislation regarding payroll 
  • Liaise professionally with the broader finance team 
  • Provide superior communications with employees and leaders regarding payroll matters
  • Preparation of end of year payment summaries
  • Actively contribute to payroll projects as required
  • Identify business improvement ideas
  • Calculate redundancies in line with legislation and policy
About you:
  • 5 + years experience in payroll
  • You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and enjoy having valuable and positive interactions with others
  • Resources sector experience desirable but not mandatory
