Senior Consultant - Health and Wellbeing
Job description
Our Queensland Government client has an exciting new role for a Senior Health and Wellbeing Consultant. Initially on a 6 month contract with a view for permanency, the purpose of this role is to help progress key strategies for the implementation of their workplace health and safety objectives and performance targets in working towards a zero harm culture. This role will report to the WHS Manager, within a wider HR team. You will enjoy proactively coaching and influencing across the business, including manager and director level.

Role Responsibilities:
- Development, implementation, monitoring and review of health, safety, wellbeing and human resource related policies, procedures, strategies
- Provide advice and recommendations to our client's management and staff on organisational health and safety
- Participate in significant people management and organisational culture projects
About You:
- Diploma qualified in occupational health and safety or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience managing workers compensation claims, injury management and return to work programs
- Highly developed knowledge of the WHS and workers compensation legislation
- Ability to prepare reports for senior management and excellent ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the business
