Payroll Officer

Job description

Company
This position is for an ASX listed business that has a strong history in Queensland and across Australia. Due to a mixture of growth in the team and project work they are wanting an experienced Payroll Officer to come on-board on a permanent basis.

Role
Joining a team of seven you will share responsibility for over 4,500 staff on a fortnightly and monthly pay run. To be a successful applicant you will have to have payroll experience and have a desire to continue to grow your payroll skills and knowledge. System wise any exposure to payroll software is valuable but if you possess commercial experience with Kronos that would be viewed as highly advantageous. Your duties will include new starters/terminations, system changes, data entry, running the pay run, end of month (superannuation, child support etc). Not a necessity but exposure to multiple awards/EBAs and/or nationwide payroll would be useful as this payroll covers all states and territories as well as three awards and one EBA.

About You
You will be a competent Payroll Officer that wants to belong to a highly capable payroll team. Culture is a big part of this team and this organisation so you will want to turn up to work, say good morning to people outside of your team, help out wherever and understand that when deadlines need to be met all team members band together. If you have accounting knowledge that would help as there is some reconciliations with the general ledger.
