Level 2 Desktop Support Engineer
Job description
Our client is a large national organisation based on the Brisbane Southside and they now have an urgent requirement for a End User Service Engineer. This position involves working with desktop systems, audio-visual equipment, SharePoint, phone systems and mobile phone equipment and the monitoring of other corporate systems.

- Maintain environment stability and assist with daily health checks and tasks
- Providing remote desktop assistance to colleagues at sites other than your home base
- Processing Service Requests in accordance with the principles, policies and procedures of the technology team
- Keeping customers informed of the progress of their service requests and actively work to provide exceptional Customer Service
- Processing orders for IT equipment, receiving goods from suppliers, building and configuring IT equipment and delivering and installing equipment to the customer
- Carrying out project work when required
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, with a strong focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive and Internet Explorer
- Experience with Active Directory, Asset Management, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 – Exchange Online and Microsoft Server 2008 R2 \ 2012 R2 \ 2016 is desirable
- Proficient in the use of desktop and notebook computer systems and peripheral systems, eg. Data projectors, Printers, Video Conference systems, PDA, Smart Devices, Bluetooth connectivity
- Experience with JAMF & AirWatch is highly desirable
- Experience working with call management systems such as Service Now
- Knowledge of ITIL or experience in ITIL Environment desirable
- Service Desk experience and a Microsoft certification (Min. MCP)
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written & oral) with the ability to deal effectively with personnel and suppliers at all levels
