Iteration Manager/Agile Coach

Job description

TROOCOO is partnered with an industry leading energy provider to help in their search for an experienced Iteration Manager/Agile Coach to help them understand and implement Agile Practices and proactively work to improve the agile adoption and maturity of the teams leading by example, coaching, mentoring and encouraging people.

Role Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end coaching to embed and support agile ways of working, practices and mindset across squads and the business 
  • Supporting the execution of their transformation roadmap and advocating an agile  mindset and culture 
  • Assisting with building and developing agile skills and capabilities, including support for education sessions
  • Positively influence resolution of problems and issues and prioritise removal of impediments and coach the team to resolve them
  • Manage and track sprint progress against budget and schedule, maintain sprint flow by removing blockers and bottlenecks, focusing on goals and communicating any potential risks, recommending solutions and resolving complicated project issues
  • Ensure the squads remain focused on priorities and aligned to strategy and roadmaps, and that backlog and release plans are maintained
  • Liaise with other squads to ensure dependencies are understood and managed
Essential Skillset:
  • Experience delivering agile transformation programs within complex organisations
  • Demonstrates considerable (5+ years) experience with several of the Agile methodologies including Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Hybrid Scrum/XP, Scaled Agile Framework, Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), Spotify Model
  • Can influence difficult stakeholders regarding the need for agile and the benefits of transitioning to agile methods.
  • Demonstrates considerable (5+ years) experience with building high performing teams to autonomy.
  • Considerable experience as a team lead. Identifies the motivators, strengths and weaknesses of different team members and puts in place individual plans to get the best out of the team.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and sustaining collaborative relationships and partnerships with the business.
  • Sufficient level of technical background to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate and explain complex delivery options, risks and issues.
