ISP Network Engineer
Job description
Our client is a small to medium sized technology and telecommunication services provider and they have a requirement for a Network Engineer with ISP experience. This is a hands-on role providing network support in order to assist with future growth of the business.

- Participate in planning, quality and reporting requirements
- Maintain and improve OTT service performance standards (voice, broadband, PERS)
- Provide level 3 technical and order provisioning support
- Assist to design, build and manage improvements relating to 24/7 NOC capability
- Strategic and systematic network development to optimise access and increase distribution
- Monitor, diagnose and restore network outages and events
- Provide on call and after hours' technical assistance to ensure prompt service restoration
- Proven experience in the telecommunication industry in broadband and IP network operations and development
- Experience with Juniper MX and SRX routers, NMS, Out of Band Management system,
- Experience with VoIP, RADIUS and LNS/BRAS
- Sound knowledge of the following protocols BGP, MPLS, DHCP, PPP, L2TP and OSPF
- Experience with DSL, DOCSIS and FTTH networks including installing, commissioning and testing DSLAMs and DSL CPE including problem solving, DOCSIS headend, amplifiers, splitters and DOCSIS CPE, FTTH headend, and FTTH CPE
- Experience with microwave networks including installation, commissioning and testing microwave radios, including problem solving
- Degree in Telecommunications, Network or Electrical Engineering preferred
