With an Australian team of 1300+, Auto & General is now looking for talented General Manager Employee Communications to join the team and ensure the employee communications is engaging, high quality, frequent and effective.

About the role:

Reporting to the Director, People & Culture this role will be responsible for the development and delivery of the employee communications strategy for the organisation. Critical to the role will be the ability to engage and influence across the Executive team and senior leaders to ensure both business and purpose led communications are delivered effectively across the business.

This position will develop and implement an effective and innovative communication framework using modern communication channels and systems and developing targeted communications for different parts of the business.

About you:

To be considered for this role you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and will be a true practitioner in the employee communications space. You will be an effective leader with strong influencing skills and will have the ability to think strategically with a strong track record in delivering results in internal communications.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate through a range of platforms for a large organisation. You will be pragmatic and will have previous experience working closely with senior executives to deliver business outcomes. The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate business priorities into engaging, easy to understand messages.

A demonstrated background in modernizing and innovating the employee communications for a previous organisation will be essential.
