Job Description

Our client is undertaking an enterprise initiative to consolidate disparate financial systems across multiple business streams and the associated system, people and process changes. The organisation has the need for an experienced Finance Analyst for a 12 month contract to support the project team members and vendors across a range of functions.
Your key responsibilities will center around frameworks, tools and processes, business process mapping, business requirements gathering and tracking and project delivery.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of standards and frameworks for business process modelling, user stories, requirements specifications and repository for business process models
  • Delivery business analysis capability in varying project approaches including Agile and Waterfall projects
  • Identify opportunities for quick process improvements
  • Lead working groups and collaborate with the business to baseline future state processes
  • Document new processes and update process documentation
  • Define and document detailed functional business requirements including system scope and objectives
  • Development of requirements for new systems and enhancements
  • Participate in the review of solution design documentation
  • Collaborate with system testers to develop test scenarios
  • Deliver training materials and participate in training sessions
Essential skill set:
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Analyst position ideally within a large, complex organisation - specific experience in BMPN is required
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting ideally coupled with CPA or CA
  • Microsoft Visio skills
  • Experience working across multiple platforms and technologies
  • Proven ability to elicit and document meaningful business requirements and translate into business processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across a wide range of stakeholders
