Cyber Security Project Manager
Job description
A new 10 moth initial contract opportunity is currently on offer for a Cyber Security Project Manager to join QLD Utilities Organisation based in Brisbane's Northern suburbs.
The Cyber Security Project Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, business systems analysts, enterprise architects, and project managers to understand the requirements to implement IT changes and enhancements.
Further to this, the Cyber Security Project Manager will be required to undertake the following key responsibilities;

Further to this, the Cyber Security Project Manager will be required to undertake the following key responsibilities;
- Plan, execute and deliver cyber security, compliance and technical requirements are considered and reflected in the design phase of technology enabled solutions, changes and enhancements
- Review existing services or solutions and recommend changes to align with technology policies and standards, security posture and to improve service delivery or cost.
- Engage senior business stakeholders to manage expectations and confirm project delivery requirements
- Provide input into high level IT solution designs by working with technology design professionals to gather requirements and translate these to security solutions
- Ensure that solution designs and implementation plans are robust, fit for purpose, reflect business requirements and align to IT strategy, policies and standards
- Ensure solution designs are scalable and consider current and future demand
- Produce detailed implementation plans for IT projects
- Produce project plans that are achievable within the constraints of time, cost and risk defined for a project or initiative
- Produce Project Management products and artefacts, aligned to the PRINCE 2 methodology
- Deliver the solution, ensuring all the required activities are thoroughly planned, tracked and performed to ensure projects succeed
- Being responsible for the delivery of strategic IT business outcomes
- Provide advice, guidance and clarification on solution implementation to IT teams and external providers
- Demonstrated knowledge in Cyber Security methodologies, systems and implementations
- ITIL or Security Certification or similar
- Experience working in a project management environment and working knowledge of PRINCE 2 and/or Agile methodologies. Project management experience in Technology infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience managing and implementing complex IT change in enterprise scale IT environments
- Demonstrated ability to set and manage expectations on solution outcomes with business stakeholders
- Ability to deliver infrastructure solution designs for multiple systems and platforms
- Ability to develop alternate views of IT designs for different stakeholders (Business – simple, Implementation – detailed)
- A thorough and detailed infrastructure level understanding of data communication networks, wide area networks, software integration layers, and IT security principles
- Demonstrated experience designing software application, database, systems integration and authentication technologies
- Proven experience in, and a detailed understanding of cloud based solutions and cloud based solution platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Demonstrate an agile and pragmatic approach to delivering IT solutions
- Previous experience in the Utility sector is highly regarded
- C Class Driver’s License.
