Chief Financial Officer
Job description
Marquis Macadamias is a 100% grower owned organization that has been in existence for over 35 years and is now the world’s largest grower, processor and marketer of macadamias. The CFO will sit on the Executive Leadership team and provide accurate and relevant financial information to the CEO and the Board. With a remit to build a culture within the team that is collaborative but which holds the team to account for its performance, the role will play a pivotal part in ensuring that the business is able to scale though liaising with external stakeholders such as banks, insurers and corporate advisors. You will have three direct reports and while you will spend time considering strategy and broader business planning, there will also be an expectation that you will be “hands on” in order to maintain an understanding and accountability around the quality of reporting and compliance.
You will be a qualified (CA/CPA) finance professional that has gained experience in commercial roles where you have had close interaction with the CEO and Board. This role will suit either a driven Financial Controller that is seeking their first CFO position or an experienced CFO that is seeking a role driving further growth and with excellent future career potential. While experience in agribusiness would be helpful, experience in a fast growing organisation is equally important.
