About the Role.

The Business Strategy & Planning Team are responsible for Strategic Planning, Market Intelligence, & Business Development and they are looking to strengthen this department with the addition of a Senior Analyst.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, evaluating investment opportunities and undertake market and business environment analysis.
Reporting into and assisting the General Manager of Market Intelligence, The Senior Analyst will undertake the following;
  • Develop demand and supply models.
  • Update reports and existing models based on established frameworks.
  • Answer complex questions related to existing markets as well as new markets in conjunction with other team members with a clear focus on productivity and efficiency.
  • Be a collaborative team player who is constantly looking for ways to improve and create new models and frameworks.
  • Reporting across other markets relevant to new business development opportunities.
  • Manage third party consulting work and develop short term and long-term market analysis.
The Ideal Candidate.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Commercial experience in a similar role including conducting data/information analysis, working on marginal cost frameworks to analyse commodity markets.
  • Understanding and experience of market analysis and modelling of mining commodities.
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills.
