Sales Development Representative
Job description
Troocoo are proud to partner with a scaling SaaS business that holds a genuinely unique position in the Australian market. With no direct competitor for their overall offering and a customer base that includes some of Australia's most recognised organisations, this business is at an exciting point of growth, with a new digital-first product launching to market and ambitious plans to expand their reach across new sectors and customer segments.
As part of this growth, an opportunity has emerged for a driven and self-directed Business Development Representative to join a small, high-functioning sales team and play a central role in building the pipeline that will fuel the next phase of the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for mid-tier new business acquisition, working across two service models and targeting a defined set of sectors including transport and logistics, construction, and food and beverage manufacturing. This is a proactive, outbound-led role that requires someone who is genuinely comfortable building from scratch, doing the hard work of cold outreach and objection handling, and owning their outcomes independently.
You will work closely alongside a senior salesperson, seeding and qualifying leads and handing over well-developed opportunities for large enterprise acquisition, while independently managing your own mid-tier portfolio. You will also manage inbound enquiries, and contribute to the design and execution of sales strategies in close collaboration with the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
You are a self-directed sales professional with genuine SaaS sales experience and a track record of results you can speak to in specific numbers. You know how to pick up the phone, build relationships from nothing, and keep a pipeline moving without needing heavy management support. You are energised by the challenge of building something, comfortable working across a small and dispersed team, and willing to contribute insight and complexity, not just execute tasks.
You will likely demonstrate:
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading business at a pivotal moment in its growth, with a genuinely unique product offering, a loyal and high-calibre client base, and a new product entering the market. You will have real autonomy, a clear path to building your own portfolio, and the backing of a well-resourced parent organisation behind you.
