Troocoo Healthcare is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses with recent Operating Theatre experience for contract opportunities in  Mackay.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Theatre RN looking for a short-term contract in regional Queensland.

The Role:

• Position: Registered Nurse – Grade 5
• Location: Mackay
• Unit: Operating Theatre
• Contract: 07 September 2026 – 31 October 2026
• Rate: $51.28 – $66.30 per hour base
• Shifts: Rotating 8 and 10-hour shifts
• Shift times: Morning, afternoon and night shifts

Essential Experience To be considered, you must have:

• Recent Operating Theatre experience
• Current BLS certificate
• Experience with manual and patient handling
• Infection control and hand hygiene knowledge
• Understanding of mandatory reporting requirements
• Occupational Violence Prevention/de-escalation training
• Medication management knowledge

Desirable Experience

• Experience using ieMR
• Previous experience working in Australia
• Previous Queensland Health experience
• Previous Mackay HHS experience

Additional Requirements Successful candidates must be willing to complete:

• Integrated electronic medical record training
• Online induction training
• Any additional training required by the HHS
