Troocoo Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Registered Midwife for a contract opportunity within the Women's Health Unit at Mackay.

�� Base rate: $51.28 – $66.30 per hour
�� Placement details

• Position: Registered Midwife – Grade 5
• Location: Mackay  – Women's Health Unit
• Contract: 14 September 2026 – 10 January 2027
• Hours: Maximum 80 hours per fortnight
• Shifts: Rotating 8 and 12-hour shifts
• Roster: As per roster
• Overtime: Applies after 80 hours per fortnight

Essential experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in women's health nursing/midwifery
• Labour Ward and Birth Suite experience – essential
• Current BLS certification
• Manual and patient handling
• Infection control, including hand hygiene
• Mandatory reporting knowledge relating to child abuse and neglect
• Occupational Violence Prevention Training, including de-escalation and situational awareness

Desirable experience

• Previous experience using ieMR
• Previous Australian healthcare experience
• Previous Queensland Health and/or Mackay HHS experience

Candidates must also be willing to complete ieMR training, online induction and any other training required by the HHS.
