Troocoo is proud to partner with a leading Tier 1 mining organisation, to recruit a Contracts Advisor to join their team for an initial 12-month contract supporting a significant project. This role is based in Brisbane CBD and requires occasional site visits, typically quarterly.

The Contracts Advisor focuses on the project's study phase, offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage pre-award and post-award contract activities, with a strong emphasis on the pre-award phase.
  • Draft tenders and contracts for professional services, including engineering and technical consulting.
  • Handle multiple contracts concurrently, managing up to a dozen at any time with values ranging from several hundred thousand to several million dollars.
  • Support feasibility and pre-feasibility studies, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement remotely.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support stakeholders through project fluctuations, particularly in a closure or rehabilitation context.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated contract execution and management experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, or complex project environments.
  • Strong capability in both pre- and post-award processes, including tendering and commercial documentation.
  • Solid understanding of professional services contracts, particularly in engineering and technical consultancy.
  • Experience managing feasibility and pre-feasibility study contracts is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly in remote or multi-location settings.
  • Comfortable in a hands-on role with no direct reports, willing to tackle ambiguity and changing project requirements.

Please note, we are only accepting applications from candidates with full Australian working rights who are currently based in Australia, as local market knowledge and stakeholder presence are key to success in this role.
