About the role:
Hastings Deering are currently implementing a new Warehouse Management System across 16-sites. In this key role as the Instructional Designer, you will report to the Project Change Manager and join a collaborative and supportive project team. The focus of your role will be to design and develop effective high quality end user documentation and learning material for the new Warehouse Management System.
Responsibilities include:
  • Research processes, procedures with relation to our application and translate these into clear and concise end user documentation
  • Work directly with key stakeholders and SMEs to extract the key learning outcomes and content requirements.
  • Apply framework to build an effective learner centric solution that meets the business strategic direction.
  • Participation in the moderation/validation of delivery packages as required
  • Support the trainers in the development and continuous improvement of the training materials
About you:
As a highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and instructional design technical skills, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver project excellence. You are a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities.  To be successful you will have:-
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Instructional Design role within a diversified company
  • Proven experience in instructional design & development in a competency-based learning environment, preferably in a high-tech, SaaS environment
  • Warehouse Management System design experience, ideally within similar industry.
  • Proven eLearning design experience with exposure to Captivate, Articulate and Lectora.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • High level consulting skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Formal qualifications e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma in Training Design and Development
