HR Business Partner

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative HR Business Partner to join the People, Capability and Culture team on a short-term contract. In this role, you will work closely with a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality human resource and industrial relations advice across a large, complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely HR and employee relations advice across a broad range of workplace matters, including case management, in line with relevant legislation, policies and frameworks
  • Build strong partnerships with business units, coaching and supporting managers in contemporary HR practices and strategies
  • Support and deliver HR projects focused on continuous improvement, capability development and operational efficiency
  • Prepare and review briefing papers, correspondence, presentations and other documentation
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, documentation and participation in team forums
  • Work across the People, Capability and Culture branch to implement coordinated solutions and initiatives
  • Utilise workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and enhance service delivery
  • Assist in coordinating projects and working groups, including facilitating meetings and developing supporting materials
  • Undertake additional tasks as required

You are a confident and capable HR professional with strong experience in employee and industrial relations within a complex environment. You bring a collaborative approach, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused HR services.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
  • Demonstrated experience analysing complex HR issues and providing practical, solutions-focused advice
  • Solid knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation and industrial relations
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to organisational reform
