Troocoo is proud to be partnering with one of our key clients in the QLD infrastructure sector to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to support major projects across Queensland.
This role sits within a high-performing People & Change team and works closely with senior leaders delivering large-scale, complex projects. It’s an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys being a true partner to the business, balancing strategic advice with practical, on-the-ground support.

The opportunity
You will partner with senior leaders and project teams to provide end-to-end HR support across a dynamic, project-driven environment. Working with a significant contractor workforce, you’ll play a key role in supporting leaders through the people challenges that come with large construction and heavy industry projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as a trusted HR partner to senior leaders managing major projects across QLD
  • Providing advice on HR legislation, policy, systems and best practice in a regulated environment
  • Supporting employee relations matters across both permanent and contractor workforces
  • Partnering with leaders to drive proactive performance and development conversations
  • Supporting cyclical HR activities including workforce planning, talent management and performance frameworks
  • Contributing to organisational design discussions aligned to project and operational needs
  • Providing timely and meaningful people metrics to support business decision-making
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and culture initiatives
  • Coaching and mentoring junior HR team members as required
About you
You are a confident HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-paced, project-based environments and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders.
You will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project teams within construction, infrastructure or heavy industry environments (highly desirable)
  • Experience working with contractor workforces
  • Strong employee relations capability
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
