Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join a values‑driven, not‑for‑profit organisation during a period of significant uplift and transformation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this new created position will be responsible for embedding financial planning, forecasting and performance insight to support confident decision‑making and long‑term financial sustainability.

About the Role

This position sits at the connection of finance, strategy and performance, providing a clear, independent view of the organisation’s rolling financial outlook, cash flow position and affordability. You will work closely with senior leaders and planning stakeholders across a complex environment, translating strategy and initiatives into credible financial forecasts, scenarios and trade‑offs.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Owning a rolling financial forecast across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Providing forward‑looking insight on affordability, liquidity and capital needs
  • Translating strategy and initiatives into clear financial impacts and scenarios
  • Supporting executive decisions through analysis, trade‑offs and prioritisation
  • Simplifying and strengthening budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
  • Partnering across the organisation while leading a small specialist FP&A team
About You

Some of the skills and experience you will bring to this position will include:
  • CA or CPA qualified with a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience in FP&A, management accounting or financial planning roles
  • Strong capability in rolling forecasts, cash flow modelling and scenario analysis
  • Experience uplifting planning capability and improving financial processes
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, decision‑useful insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills in complex or decentralised environments
  • Experience in the not‑for‑profit or community services sector highly regarded
