Troocoo are proud to be a recruitment partner for the Queensland State Elections. We have MULTIPLE positions as Telephone Voting Agents (AO2). Below are the requirements and details for this role:

  • Hourly rate: $37.90 p/hour + super
  • Contract length: 14/10/24 – 26/10/24 – full-time hours, no part-time.
  • Location: Qantas Drive location (Brisbane Airport) – parking available
  • Training and shifts: Split shifts between 8AM – 6PM (NOTE, hours may vary dependent on business requirements)
  • You must be available for the ONE of the below training intakes:
    • Wednesday, 9 October – 10.00am – 3.30pm
    • Thursday, 10 October – 10.00am – 3.30pm
    • Friday, 11 October 10.00am – 3.30pm
Role duties:
As a Customer Service Officer (Telephone Voting) you will: 
  • Provide excellent customer service while taking votes via the telephone voting call centre. All calls must be treated with high level of confidentiality and security.
  • Provide feedback to manager and/or 2IC on any issues, difficult customer experiences or technical problems.
  • Demonstrate high level customer service skills including active listening, attention to detail and following the elector’s instructions on how they wish to vote.
  • Act as a witness to team members taking vote taking calls from electors. Ensuring the vote taker is following the instructions of the caller and recording the vote as per the direction of the elector.
  • Respond to enquiries with empathy and respect, providing each customer with a positive service experience.
  • Adhere to scheduled roster and break times.
  • Abide by the Queensland Government Code of Conduct and all Policies and Directives that apply to this role.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in contact centre OR extensive customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate on the phone with a focus on well-spoken, clear voice and exceptional listening skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to type whilst on the phone
  • Work in a team environment contributing to a positive and welcoming team culture.
  • All positions may be expected on occasion to work irregular hours to meet operational commitments, especially during election periods.
  • It is a requirement of the position, and applicants must be willing to certify, that they have not engaged in any recent political activity and will not engage, during the course of their employment, in any political activity likely to raise a perception of bias.
