About the role
This key leadership role is centred around the delivery of the Group’s strategy through operational excellence. The roleholder will be focused on delivering the day to day, be that in sales, procurement, operations or customer service. The role will attract people with in-depth knowledge and experience of delivering operationally, driving continuous improvement and providing outstanding people leadership The individual will possess a growth mindset and set very high standards in everything they do.
Due to the nature of the business with its short sales cycle; speed and the ability to commit to excellence, even in adversity is crucial. To achieve this, you will need to be a skilled people leader who can create a culture where the team are pulling in the same direction and with equal commitment.
Whilst this will be a demanding role on many levels, it will be highly attractive to executives who thrive on challenge, who wish to be suitably rewarded for their success and who hold ambitions of further career advancement.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience in leading operations in a business with a short sales cycle, where small incremental improvement drives large gains. With sales leadership experience a prerequisite, you will also be an admired leader who can bring teams together and inspire people to go the extra mile in delivering to the customer. This business is incredibly fast moving, so agility and speed of thought is critical. Whilst food service industry experience is not required, demonstrated success in a B2B, low margin, high volume business will be required, as will pricing, procurement and sales experience.  This is an incredibly exciting and dynamic time in the organisation’s history, and you will have the passion and motivation to want to be a key part of its future success.
