We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operations for Crimsafe Security Systems, a purpose-led, dynamic and growing manufacturing and fabrication business with operations in Australia, USA, South Africa, New Zealand and Fiji.
Successfully operating for 30 years and based in Australia, Crimsafe manufactures security screens and doors using 0.9m 304 structural grade tensile stainless steel mesh for residential and commercial applications, with a vision to make the world a safer place.
The COO is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Group General Manager, and is located in Yatala, in SEQ. The role has full responsibility for operational performance, strategic execution, and team development across multiple sites.
The COO will oversee all aspects of operations, including production, supply chain, quality assurance, warehouse and logistics, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. In this role you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive operational excellence, productivity, and profitability, while fostering a strong, positive organisational culture.
A key focus will be delivering strategic growth initiatives and operational improvements while supporting ongoing business expansion. The role requires a strong operational leader capable of implementing scalable systems, leading multi-site teams, and achieving measurable KPIs across safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all operational functions, ensuring consistent performance, quality, and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency, including process and technology enhancements.
- Develop and mentor operational leaders and teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Oversee procurement, inventory, and supplier management to ensure supply continuity, cost control, and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to translate strategy into actionable operational plans.
- Degree qualified in a relevant area
- Proven senior operational leadership experience within manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing, logistics or industrial services essential.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Experience in purchasing, sourcing, quality control, and Lean Manufacturing highly desired
- Strong track record in multi-site management, driving operational excellence and business growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and engage teams across diverse functions.
- Experience in implementing safety and compliance initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in implementing new IT systems with appropriate change management skills.
- Lead a growing, dynamic business with multi-site operations.
- Take full ownership of operational performance, safety, and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with Crimsafe’s executive leadership team to shape the organisation’s growth and operational excellence.
