Troocoo are partnering with a well-established organisation in the early education sector to appoint an experienced Area Director to lead a portfolio of centres based across Newcastle, NSW. This is a key leadership role suited to a proven multi-site leader who has operated at Area or Regional level and is confident driving performance across commercial outcomes, quality standards, and people leadership.

About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing a group of centres, ensuring strong performance across all key metrics.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Centre Directors
  • Driving financial performance including occupancy, revenue, and labour management
  • Monitoring centre performance and implementing improvement plans where required
  • Overseeing quality, compliance, and assessment outcomes aligned to NQS and EYLF
  • Analysing data and trends to optimise performance across your portfolio
  • Leading workforce planning, recruitment, and succession initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, regulators, and the wider community
  
About You
To be successful, you will be a current or recent Area/Regional Director within early childhood education, bringing:
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site childcare portfolios
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L performance
  • Proven ability to drive improvements in quality, compliance, and centre performance
  • In-depth knowledge of NQS, EYLF, and regulatory frameworks
  • A leadership style focused on coaching, accountability, and team development
  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments
  
Requirements
  • Early Childhood qualification (Diploma or Bachelor)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Full Australian working rights
