Job description
Troocoo Government are assisting a valued Federal Government client recruit a motivated and client-focused Case Manager (APS5) to join a high-performing team. These are full-time agency labour hire positions initially to the 30th June 2027 (potential to extend). This position is ideally suited to candidates with a legal, compliance, investigations, or legislative background who are confident navigating complex case matters and interpreting policy, contracts, and legislation.
This role will involve managing a high-volume caseload, assessing matters against legislative and policy frameworks, and delivering accurate, timely outcomes while engaging with a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and progress matters in line with legislation, policy, and procedural requirements
- Review, interpret, and apply contracts, legislation, and policy to support decision-making
- Conduct research and investigations to assess case matters and inform outcomes
- Prepare briefs, correspondence, reports, and recommendations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and resolve matters
- Maintain accurate case notes, records, and documentation
- Identify risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Must be an AUS Citizen to be eligible
- Must meet Australian Government security and suitability requirements, including background checks.
- Previous Federal or State Government experience would be highly regarded.
- Previous case management experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory, or government setting is essential
- Strong understanding of legislation, contracts, or policy interpretation
- High attention to detail and ability to work within strict processes
- Strong research, investigation, and analytical skills
- Critical thinker with sound judgement and problem-solving ability
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and high-volume workloads
- $60 per hour + super (agency contract position)
- Immediate availability preferred
- Initial contract through to 30 June 2027, with potential for extension
- Brisbane CBD location
- Flexible hybrid arrangement with up to 3–4 days working from home
