Troocoo Government are currently seeking an experienced AO4 HR/Recruitment Officer to join a large Queensland Government organisation based in Brisbane's inner northern suburbs. This is an initial 6-month agency labour hire contract, paying $60.05 to $65.81 per hour + super, with strong potential for extension.

The Role
As the AO4 HR/Recruitment Officer, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end recruitment services across a large and diverse public sector workforce. The position has a strong focus on managing internal recruitment processes, particularly Expressions of Interest (EOIs), while partnering with hiring managers to ensure recruitment activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in line with public sector recruitment principles.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, with a primary focus on internal EOI campaigns.
  • Providing advice and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Coordinating advertising, applications, shortlisting, interviews, offers and appointment documentation.
  • Preparing recruitment correspondence, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment records and HR systems.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure recruitment activities are progressed within agreed timeframes.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across recruitment processes and HR service delivery.
About You
To be considered a competitive applicant for this role, you will demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience delivering end-to-end recruitment within a Queensland Government or public sector environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate recruitment documentation.
  • Experience using HR information systems and maintaining confidential records.
  • Formal HR qualifications would be desirable, however not mandatory.
