AO3 Customer Service Officer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AO3 Customer Service Officer to join a busy and customer-focused government team based in Robina. This role acts as the first point of contact for customers, providing face-to-face and administrative support across a range of building and construction related enquiries.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service, assisting customers with legislation, processes, applications, disputes, and compliance matters while supporting the wider regional services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional customer service and advice across a range of building and construction related matters.
  • Assist customers with licensing enquiries, dispute lodgements, contractor compliance matters, and general applications.
  • Deliver face-to-face front counter support and administrative assistance within the regional office.
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and legislation to provide accurate information and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records across multiple systems and databases.
  • Support regional staff with stakeholder engagement activities and community initiatives as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage challenging customer interactions professionally and with resilience.
About You
We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:
  • Previous experience within a customer service, contact centre, administration, or government environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly and professionally.
  • Confidence working across multiple systems and databases in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to interpret policies and procedures.
  • Resilience and professionalism when dealing with complex or challenging customer interactions.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to team goals.
  • Previous Queensland Government experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
Additional Information
  • Full-time office-based role located in Robina.
  • Initial 1-month contract with potential for extension.
  • Monday to Friday business hours.
