The Organisation
  
Safe Places for Children is a not-for-profit organisation that provides young people at risk with intensive therapeutic support and supervision in a homely and welcoming residential care setting.
  
Since 2006, Safe Places have grown operations from a small but passionate group of youth workers, to an organisation of local teams dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.  They have experienced rapid growth and have further impressive growth plans heading to 2025.
  
The Role
  
Key to the position will be the setting out the roadmap for the organisation’s technology and business transformation programs of work. The Program Manager will lead and influence the organisations IT system transformation projects replacing finance, HR and other systems as approved by the Board.  The role is required to work with the steering committee and key stakeholders to ensure the scope, resources, budget, project, change and implementation plans are developed, adopted and effectively implemented.
  
As an experienced Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in not only managing the successful implementation of the new systems, but equally important, you will co-ordinate the effective communication and engagement surrounding the transformation of work. Your flexible and empathetic approach balanced with your attention to detail will go a long way in building credibility and trust with your stakeholders and the organization in general.
  
Along with a demonstrable track record of delivering new systems (ideally Finance and/or HR) into a range of organisations, you will also require:
  
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Certification on project management methodology
  • Demonstrated experience with people centered change management practices
  • Training in Six Sigma or Lean practices (desirable)
Due to the nature of the organisation, successful candidates must be eligible to live and work in Australia and hold an unrestricted drivers licence.  Candidates must be willing to undergo and /or provide State specific checks (as requested), including eligibility to work with children and Qualifications.
