About the role
Queensland Urban Utilities Infrastructure Delivery Branch is responsible for the end to end delivery of a program of capital works projects to create, maintain and protect water and wastewater assets within the South East Queensland regions.
Queensland Urban Utilities aim to deliver enhanced services to its customers through the implementation of a new Program Management operating model which includes an integrated and collaborative approach to the capital delivery of a significant scope of works in excess of $1.5 billion over the next 5 years.
About you
To be successful as the Manager Integrated Engineering Services you will have experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of engineering professionals, consultants and contractors in the delivery of projects multimillion-dollar projects.
Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team that will deliver added value and outcomes to customers across the QUU, through innovative, efficient, fit for purpose infrastructure design solutions which enable optimisation of capital, operational and maintenance outcomes. As an internal service provider of technical support to other business areas in QUU, provision of timely and reliable support in an agile and customer focused manner is also imperative.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement ensuring Queensland Urban Utilities interests are represented and communicated effectively.
  • Create a highly effective and diverse cultural team environment through the use of goal setting development and mentoring of team members.
  • Managing and operational budget of over $7m per annum
  • Lead and develop the implementation of Queensland Urban Utilities Digital Engineering strategy
  • Ensure all governance processes are strictly followed and comply with Queensland Urban Utilities’ corporate project management, procurement and financial approval policies.
Key skills required: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • CPEng and RPEQ (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Extensive experience in leading teams responsible for projects delivery while encouraging diversity of thought and creating a constructive culture.
  • Proven negotiation skills of complex matters for win-win outcome approach
  • Experience in developing, managing and maintaining effective strategic stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in the application of performance management systems, risk management systems and in financial management.
