About this critical appointment:
The Head of Talent is an integral role for the organisation and will lead the innovative thinking and strategic direction around the future of their workforce and approach to talent. Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, this role will set the strategic and operational direction for the talent acquisition team, deliver on a range of leadership and professional development programs, and provide a focus on succession planning and talent mapping for the business.
The position will ensure the development and advancement of an empowered, inclusive, values-driven workplace culture, and will actively plan for, address and forecast future talent and culture needs within the organisation.
Partnering with the operational leadership team and individual subject matter experts, the role will work in collaboration to develop the design and architecture of the organisation, implementing creative and agile ways of operating. The position will also build a comprehensive diversity and inclusion talent strategy, as well as focus on initiatives that improve communication and collaboration across the business.
Key skills and experience required:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar, combined with extensive experience in People & Culture and Talent Management will be essential in this pivotal appointment. In-depth knowledge and demonstrated success in developing, designing and executing ‘world-class’ talent strategies and programs across various functional disciplines supported by human-centred design thinking, will be critical.
An ability to understand and translate business strategies into talent solutions as well as proven experience implementing large-scale and complex systems and change programs will be required for this role. The successful candidate will exude a leadership presence, be a strategic thinker, strong influencer and will have exceptional stakeholder engagement and consulting ability. Given this is a National role, travel will be required interstate as needed.
