Executive General Manager NSW
Brett is the executive general manager of Troocoo NSW and was part of the team responsible for opening the office in January 2021.
Brett specialises in the recruitment of senior and executive talent across data strategy and transformation and has cultivated a network in this arena over the last 16 years in Asia and Australia.
Brett is passionate about the recruitment industry and believes that any successful outcome is predicated on providing exemplary support and service to the candidate. Candidates are the lifeblood of any recruitment company and how a business treats its candidate population is reflective of their reputation in the market they service. To this end, Brett enjoys building lasting, mutually respectful relationships with the candidates and clients he works with.
Brett began his recruitment in the UK with an internationally renowned recruitment company in 2004, originally placing accounting and finance professionals into the corporate and financial service sectors. In 2006, Brett was transferred to Australia and was given a leadership role and responsibility to grow a business in the non-CBD areas of Sydney. During this time, his remit grew from managing accounting & finance recruitment teams across Sydney to also include the management of the management consulting, procurement, supply chain and logistics teams.
Brett was subsequently part of the leadership group that opened two successful offices in the Sydney Metro area (Chatswood in 2011 and Parramatta in 2013). In 2014, Brett moved to Shanghai, China to take responsibility for a business turnaround of a multi-discipline office covering technology, financial services, sales and marketing, accounting and finance, human resources, supply chain and logistics, and management consulting. Brett returned to Sydney in 2018 and is now Executive General Manager for NSW at Troocoo and was a founding member of the team that opened the NSW office. Brett has extensive relationships across some of Australia’s most prestigious financial institutions, is deeply ingrained in international management consulting houses, and also has a broad reach across a myriad of mid-sized and entrepreneurial consulting organisations. To this end, Brett always welcomes the opportunity to speak to individuals looking to grow their careers in the domains of data, strategy, or transformation.
